What the term covers
An Aqua Terra 322.10.42 clone is a copy of an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra from the reference group that starts with 322.10.42. Omega builds reference numbers from groups: case family, case material, case size code, caliber code, dial code, variant. The 10 in the second group stands for stainless steel. The 42 marks the case size class. A clone carries no Omega movement, no Omega dial, and no Omega warranty.
Sellers in this trade call the top grade a first copy or a super clone. The label is marketing. Grade depends on the parts list, not on the name.

The genuine watch
Omega's own product page for the exact reference is the only reliable source for measured diameter, dial color, and caliber. Third-party listing sites disagree with each other on the 322.10.42 group. If a spec is not on Omega's page, treat it as unknown. Published data on this family points to a stainless steel Aqua Terra 150M with an automatic caliber, a date window at 3 o'clock, and a 150 m water rating. Case diameter on the references in the group measures about 41.5 mm. Confirm the exact variant before you compare any copy.
Parts inside a copy
- Movement: Asian copies of the ETA 2824, a Miyota 9015, or a Seagull ST21. No copy uses a co-axial escapement.
- Case: 316L stainless steel in most builds. Some sellers claim 904L. That claim is rare in practice.
- Crystal: mineral glass on low tiers; sapphire with inner anti-reflective coating on mid and top tiers.
- Dial: printed teak lines on cheap builds; applied indices and stamped grooves on better ones.
- Bracelet: solid end links on mid tiers; hollow end links on low tiers.
- Water resistance: 30 m to 50 m after the seller tests it. The 150 m rating is not verified.
Checks before payment
- Ask for the movement name and a photo of the rotor.
- Ask for the case diameter measured with calipers, not the nominal size.
- Compare the date font and the date window position against photos of the real watch.
- Check the crown thread and the depth of the crown logo.
- Ask for a timegrapher printout with rate and amplitude.
- Ask for the return address and the payment method. Card networks and PayPal block counterfeit sales, so most sellers ask for bank transfer or crypto. Funds sent that way are hard to recover.

Legal position in the United States
18 U.S.C. § 2320 makes trafficking in counterfeit goods a federal crime. U.S. Customs and Border Protection can seize and destroy shipments of counterfeit watches, and the personal import exemption does not cover items that carry a recorded trademark. A buyer who resells a copy as a genuine Omega faces a trademark suit from Omega and criminal charges.
What no copy has
